Consultancy Skills for Analysts

Most analysts have never been trained how to do their job. That sounds like a shocking statement, but research suggests the majority of analysts have only received training in programming, software packages or data specific to the organisation. Very few have ever received training on a workflow, for completing analysis work. Even fewer have been trained in all the softer skills needed to complement technical skills. This one-day workshop is designed to provide both an introduction to the softer skills that analysts need, and a 9-step workflow. Grounded in 15 years’ experience of creating and leading analytics teams, this workshop enables analysts to understand the role softer skills play, as well as identify their ‘gaps’.

Turning 'Theory' into 'Practice'?

The day includes plenty of interactive exercises. There is opportunity to apply what is learnt, to delegates’ business context and challenges. Trainer also shares specific tips, from commercial experience, of developing analysts up to senior management. Finally, delegates each takeaway slides, laminated ‘9 step’ workflow and recommended CPD resources, to continue their own personal development journey. An action-oriented education method, which means delegates will commit to a personal action, to take in the next 2 weeks – to which they will be held accountable.
