Coaching for Results

Coaching is the vehicle of today; personal achievement aspiration, ownership and accountability is the result. There are various coaching models recognised as professionally robust and fit-for-purpose in a workplace or professional setting, but perhaps the well-known GROW approach the most favoured. It offers a comprehensive scaffolding on the one hand and inbuilt flexibility on the other. ‘Grow’ is less likely than some of the other models to become a straightjacket. It is also ‘low-maintenance’ in as far as evidence shows that newly-qualified coaches have less need to refer to a ‘lead coach’ with ‘Grow.’ A critical factor in the fast-paced pressured environment professional face today. Coaching is one of the most challenging of disciplines requiring a high level of personal self-knowledge, tight discipline, precision and unfailing professionalism. Its competencies can be learnt with ongoing collaborative practice and professional co-consultation. This two day course offers all of the underpinning theory, professional procedures and ‘rules’ in a hands-on context where practice precedes theory. The objective is to achieve maximum action-learning impact and gain optimum practice over the two days offering a professional coaching accreditation opportunity to participants

Turning 'Theory' into 'Practice'?

This Two Day highly intensive, interactive action-based professionally accredited coaching programme proposes a highly effective augmented version of the GROW model; validated by winning the Worshipful Company of Educators’ CPD award. The first day introduces all of the essential skills and capabilities of an effective coaching with the associated theoretical underpinnings, in a series of structured practical challenges, pair exercises and trio work. The programme offers a suite of transferable tools and templates for on-going practice back in the workplace. Throughout, action space is emphasised for participants to review and practice the progressive dimensions of the coaching conversation; emergent, developing, refining, and co-constructive, thus enabling movement towards both active personal growth and professional development using the feedback loops set up by the coach. We use a series of self and peer assessment tools to ensure tangible, measurable results. Participants establish a personal baseline by rating themselves against day 1 self-imposed targets. The programme facilitator provides an objective, professionally qualified POV ensuring all involved leave with a clear achievement analysis and target progression points.
