Developing Your Personal Influence and Impact

The ability to influence others to act is considered by many thought leaders to be an essential part of any business professional’s toolkit. For some people they just manage almost effortlessly to inspire willing action in others and light up the room with their presence and ideas. For others, coaching and guidance are methods of developing those all important skills. Your sphere of influence within your organisation is defined by the number of people whose thoughts, decisions and actions you are able to influence. These people may be colleagues, direct reports or senior managers. You will have been developing this sphere of influence from the moment you joined the company you work for. Its potency is generated partly by the number of people you are able to influence; and partly by the influence that they exert themselves.

Turning 'Theory' into 'Practice'?

This workshop explores the science and practical application of influencing others. Whether you are trying to influence your boss, peer group or other business professionals, this workshop will provide a range of tools and concepts that will expand your current range of options. The tools proposed on this workshop will help provide you with a validated structure to enable you to consciously practice in the workplace. This workshop is designed as a highly inter active series of sessions that build on your current level of experience and knowledge. Case studies, videos and experiential learning are an integral element of bringing the subject matter to life enabling you to practice in a safe environment. The workshop material will be drawn from a range of sources including Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and Robert Cialdini’s 6 Principles of Persuasion.
