Human Resources Centres of Expertise (COE) and Shared Services (SS) Skills MasterClass

For senior professionals and managers within the new Centres of Expertise such as Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development and Resourcing, and Shared Services teams, the new HR BP organisation model has promised much but has delivered little. Held responsible for ‘managing costs’, they are asked to ensure compliance to rigid processes and policies. Whilst an important role, Centres of Expertise and Shared Services groups are often then unable to act proactively and demonstrate their expertise by an organisational structure that places HR Business Partners as the primary contact with the business. The roles of the Centres of Expertise and Shared Services groups are critical in transforming HR into a business aligned function delivering those benefits. Unless HR can ensure that these groups have role clarity, the skills and (critically) attitude to deliver it, the credibility of the entire function is at stake.

Turning 'Theory' into 'Practice'?

This highly interactive and innovative workshop equip attendees with the knowledge, tools and techniques to improve the deliverables within their existing HR Centre of Expertise and Shared Service role. Delegates are warned that this intensive course will require some work in the evenings to critically examine both what their organisations require of their HR Centres of Expertise and Shared Services groups as well as evaluating their own existing skill set. Participants will be encouraged and supported to build a personal development plan for future success.

Who should attend?

Experienced HR Centres of Expertise and Shared Services professionals, who are seeking to either clarify their role, wish to understand how they can measure their success or those who are simply seeking to improve their skills and knowledge. Centres of Expertise and Shared Services Managers, Senior Human Resources, Training, and Employee Development professionals working with HR Business Partners. This workshop is not appropriate for HR professionals who have never undertaken an HR Business Partner role or supported an HR function through a transformation programme.
